8 days and 7 nights: the roof of Africa reaches 5895metres.

By the Marangu route, you can realize the dream of all hikers wanting to exceed a few, in this ascent accessible, with good physical conditions.

Day 1:
departure from Arusha, breakfast and briefing, and transfer to Impala hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2:
after the breakfast, transfer to the Marangu Route and departure for the climbing 3 to 4 hour march to Mandara (2700m), picnic, visit of the Maundi crater. Dinner and accommodation in Mandara Hotel

Day 3:
early wakening, breakfast and departure for a 7 or 8 hour walk with picnic. Dinner and accommodation in Horombo Hut (3720m)

Day 4:
day in Horombo Hut, rest

Day 5:
departure for Kibo, 5 to 7 hour walk. The temperature is low because of high altitude. Picnic for lunch, dinner and accommodation in Kibo Hut (4703m)

Day 6:
departure after midnight and 6 to 7 hour walk to reach Gillman's Point (5685m) then 1 to 2 hours to Uhuru Pic (5895m)
Return to Horombo Hut for dinner and accommodation, approximately 7 to 8 hour descent

Day 7:
last day in the mountain, descent and return via the Marangu Route, dinner and accommodation in Nakara Hotel
Day 8:
transfer to Arusha
