The parks of south / NATIONAL RUAHA PARK
Ruaha National Park is the biggest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. It is named after Ruaha River which crosses over the park from west to east. Naturally there dwell hippopotamus and crocodiles. There are also antelopes, ostriches and more than 370 varieties of birds whereof rare species.
Best period: from June to February
