The Parks of the south / MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Mikumi Park is 300km south east from Dar Es Salaam. It hosts a large variety of animals: lions, elephants, buffalos, hippopotamus, giraffes, zebras, antelopes (or elks), leopards and cheetahs.
Mikumi also hosts over 300 bird species whereof Eurasian migrating animals (from October to April)
Best period: all year long. From march to may, a 4x4 is necessary
